This batch of video clips begins with riding a Seibu-Shinjuku Line train into Shinjuku, getting off, and walking into the Shinjuku evening. After that are a couple of walking videos taken in Shinjuku, and then it jumps to another day, where I go on a walkabout in the Takadanobaba Station area. Then some Tozai Line views, and then (in the evening), riding a train from Yurakucho to Shinbashi, where there was a summer festival taking place. As part of the festival, I visited a terrace beer garden and basement showa-style izakaya. The batch wraps up with a couple of Tokyo station views.
This batch of video clips opens with a look out the window of a Keio Line train, then goes to a bicycle ride in suburbia, various train views, etc. There are also a few views of a Ginza installation, and nighttime views of Ueno and Takadanobaba.
There are a lot of things in this batch of video clips - from typical Shinjuku and Ginza scenes, to train views (Chuo Line, etc.), walkabout views of Machida (a local city within Tokyo), Fujisawa, and the Hiratsuka Tanabata Matsuri. Yes - it's full-fledged summer now, along with the typical sounds, smells, activities, etc. that Tokyo and surrounding Japan offer - all in the July heat and humidity.
Looking around while listening to Kadotani Jun (門谷純) perform live (ストリートライブ / /路上) in Shinjuku. I really liked the songs I heard in Shinjuku last night - and bought one of the singer's CD's - which has a slightly different feel to it than the live performance - which I liked best.
This batch of videos begins with some low-resolution views taken on the Chuo Line, and then there are views of Nishi-Shinjuku, Takadanobaba, Yurakucho, Ginza, Ueno, and Ikebukuro. The heat of summer was a little later than usual to kick in, but it's a typical hot and humid Tokyo summer now. In Yurakucho, there are views of the outside yakitori places full of Friday evening between-work-and-home people.
